Rasheda Kamaria Williams is the founder of Empowered Flower Girl’s, author of "Be EmPOWERed" and a Soroptimist International of Grosse Pointe member.  We are grateful to have Rasheda as a member of SIGP and for all the mentoring she has given to young girls in our community.

  • Detective Sergeant Edward Price is a Michigan State Police detective at the 2nd District Special Investigation Section where he investigates homicides, rapes, robberies, child sexual assaults, police shootings, public corruption and other major crimes. He is also assigned to the Southeast Michigan Crimes Against Children Task Force (SEMCAC) which has been established to investigate the exploitation of children by means of prostitution.
  • Leslie F. King is a survivor of human trafficking/sexual exploitation. She was coerced and forced into the lifestyle of prostitution at the age of 15 in Grand Rapids, Michigan, and she became trapped in the underworld of prostitution and drug addiction for over 20 years. She is the Chairman/Founder of Sacred Beginnings Women’s Transitional Program.
  •  Victor Malarek is an award-winning journalist and author of multiple books including The Natashas—Inside the Global Sex Trade and the sequel The Johns: Sex for Sale and the Men Who Buy It, which investigates the demand aspect of trafficking/prostitution and attacks the idea that prostitution is a victimless crime.
  • MC/Moderator—Andrew Humphrey, CBM, is an Emmy award-winning meteorologist and reporter at WDIV-TV Local 4. “Tech Time With Andrew Humphrey” features the latest local and global news in the areas of science and technology. He has a passion for weathercasting and storytelling that helps people stay informed and safe.
