Dear Potential Supporter,

On behalf of Soroptimist International of Grosse Pointe (SIGP), I ask you to consider sponsoring the “Stop Traffic” 5K Walk/Run event on September 21, 2019.  The event will take place in Saint Clair Shores and be followed by an educational expo where human trafficking awareness groups will share information about the cause. Proceeds will be donated to regional organizations, shelters, and initiatives dedicated to ending human trafficking.

Most people are surprised that human trafficking is a problem right here in Michigan.  Victims are often too scared to come forward and community members are reluctant to believe modern-day slavery exists in their own backyards.  In reality, human trafficking affects every town and crosses age, gender, ethnicity, and socio-economic backgrounds.  As you read this, someone is being abused, exploited, and stripped of their basic human rights.  SIGP strives to be a voice for these victims.  We need your help.

To follow is a list of the various sponsorship levels for our 5K Walk/Run and a Sponsorship form. Your support would be greatly appreciated.  Should you have any questions, do not hesitate to contact me at grossepointesoroptimist@gmail.com.

We look forward to your partnership,
